Grape
Shared folders and notes for teachers

Share notes and folders and write in them together

Share a folder. Write in it together.
Invite people to a folder or a note and work in it from your own Grape. Sharing comes with Sync and Pro, and on Pro you see each other type, with a named cursor for each person.
Share a folder with its subfolders and notes, or a single note on its own
Can edit for the people you work with, Can view for the ones who only read
Edits merge, so two people in the same paragraph never overwrite each other
On Pro, everyone in the note types live, each with a cursor that carries their name
On Sync, edits arrive with sync a couple of seconds later and merge the same way
You and everyone you invite need Sync or Pro, and a locked note is never shared

Invite by email

Type an address, choose Can edit or Can view and send. They join from the email or from the app.

See each other type

On Pro, everyone in the note writes live, with a cursor in their own colour that carries their name.

Can edit or Can view

Editing for the people you work with, reading only for the ones who just need to keep up.

On Sync, edits merge

Changes arrive a couple of seconds after they are made, and both sides are kept rather than overwritten.

See who changed what

Version history lists every edit under the name of whoever made it, with what they added and deleted.

Your undo stays yours

In a live note, undo takes back what you typed and never the line someone else just wrote.
What changes

Three things off the Sunday list

Not a feature tour. The three jobs that take less of the weekend once your plans can answer back.
The lesson plan from last year is in a folder called Misc.

Find last year in seconds

Search the way you remember the lesson and get the plan back, along with the notes you left about how it went.
Writing the quiz takes longer than teaching the lesson did.

Make the quiz from the lesson you taught

Generate questions and flashcards straight from your own material instead of writing them from a blank page.
The observation stays in your head until report season, when it is gone.

Keep observations without extra admin

Talk into your phone between classes and read the transcript back when you are writing reports.
A normal term

What that looks like for teachers

Three moments in the year where the app earns its keep.
01

Sunday planning

Pull up the unit folder, adjust last year, and note what you are changing and why.
02

During the week

Record two minutes after a lesson while you still remember what fell flat.
03

Report season

Ask your notes what you recorded about a class over a term and write from that.
Questions

Questions Before You Install It

The rest of them live in the help center.
Every question

Reuse it every year.

Lesson plans, worksheets, observations and the thing that worked last spring, all in one library you can search by meaning and turn into quiz questions in a minute.
