Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Grape, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Grape is a note-taking application for personal and professional use. You may use Grape on any devices you own. You agree not to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app.

The Free plan requires no account. Pro and Lifetime plans require an account. The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase and is not a subscription. Refunds on purchases made through our website are handled on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase. Purchases made inside the iOS or Android app are refunded by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us.

Grape Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial, where offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription. The current price and billing period are shown on the purchase screen in the app before you confirm. Subscriptions bought on iOS are also governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement.

Your notes are stored locally on your device by default. If you enable cross-device sync on the Pro plan, your data is stored securely in the cloud. You own your data and can export it at any time.

You can delete your account and everything synced to it at any time, either from Settings, then Data, then Delete Account inside the app, or from the account deletion page on this site. Deletion is permanent and also cancels any active subscription. Deleting your account does not by itself refund a purchase made through the App Store or Google Play.

AI features are powered by third-party providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, xAI, DeepSeek and OpenRouter). When you use an AI feature, your input is sent to the provider handling that request for processing. We do not use your data to train AI models. If you bring your own API keys, usage is subject to that provider's terms. AI output is generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete or offensive, so do not rely on it as professional advice. If Grape produces something objectionable, report it from the button under any AI answer in the app or on the AI content reporting page. You agree not to use Grape's AI features to generate unlawful, harassing or infringing content.

Grape AI on the Pro plan is metered. Each AI feature carries its own limit on how much you can generate in a rolling five hour window and in a month, and every limit is set well above what normal note-taking needs. We may change a limit, and we will give notice in the app or on this site before a change makes one stricter. Contact us if you want to know where a limit currently sits. Grape AI is for your own use inside Grape. You agree not to share your account credentials or access token, not to resell, proxy or redistribute access to Grape AI or its endpoints, not to call those endpoints from anything other than the Grape apps, and not to run automated or bulk generation through them. If you pass a limit we may slow, pause or refuse further AI requests until the period resets, and we may suspend or close an account that shares, resells or automates access. Using your own API key is not metered by us, since those requests bill to your provider account rather than ours.

Grape and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Shiny Grape, LLC. The content you create in Grape belongs entirely to you.

Grape is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Shiny Grape, LLC is not liable for any data loss, damages, or issues arising from the use of the app. We recommend keeping regular backups of your data.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Grape after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or website.
