You should not have to repeat how you like answers in every conversation. Personalization settings apply to every chat once.
Base style and tone
Open Settings and go to Personalization. The base style sets the overall voice: Default, Professional, Friendly, Candid, Quirky, Efficient, Nerdy or Cynical. Efficient suits people who want short answers, Professional suits notes that end up in front of clients.
Custom instructions
The free text box below takes standing instructions in plain language: always answer in bullet points, keep summaries under a hundred words, answer in German, never use jargon. The assistant follows them in every conversation, alongside whatever you ask in the moment.
What to write
The best instructions encode decisions you find yourself repeating. If you have corrected the assistant the same way three times, that correction belongs here.
Scope
These settings shape the chat assistant on all your devices, since they sync with the rest of your settings. Per conversation asks still win when they conflict, so you can always override your own defaults for one question.
