A slide deck is your note rewritten as a presentation: a title slide, a section slide wherever the note changes subject, bullets short enough to read from the back of a room, and a closing slide with the two or three things to remember. Slide decks are part of Grape Pro, like Brainrot videos and infographics; on Free or Lifetime a deck you already made still opens, edits and presents, but a new one waits for the plan.
Creating one
Open the note. On desktop, type / and choose Slide deck, or use the toolbar. On the phone, open the apps group in the toolbar and tap Slide deck. A chip appears in the note and the setup opens.
The four choices
- Template is the look: minimal, colorful, hand drawn, corporate, dark or retro
- Slides is how many to aim for, from six to eighteen. A note that cannot honestly fill that many gets fewer good slides rather than padding
- Tone is how the deck should sound: teaching, pitch, briefing or casual
- Generate images draws a picture for the slides that suit one. A quote slide never gets a photograph behind it
Grape remembers the last combination you picked.
Editing the slides
The slide is a canvas rather than a form. Double click a line on desktop, or double tap it on the phone, to rewrite it in place. Drag any part of the slide to move it, and delete a selected part to take it off the slide. Reset layout puts everything back where the template had it. Pictures arrive a few seconds after the words and slot into the slides that asked for them.
On desktop, drag the thumbnails in the rail to reorder the deck. On the phone, hold a thumbnail and drag it, and use the dots on a thumbnail to delete a slide.
Presenting and exporting
Present opens the deck full screen. Click or tap the sides of the screen to turn the page, and turn the phone on its side for a landscape slide. Export PDF prints one slide a page at the size the slide was drawn at; on the phone the PDF goes to the share sheet.
Where the deck lives
The deck syncs between your devices the way flashcards do, so a deck written on the laptop opens and presents from the phone. Pictures are fetched onto each device the first time the deck is opened there. Deleting the chip from the note deletes the deck on the next sync.
