Add PDFs to a note

Keep the source document in the same note as your notes about it.

A reading note is more useful when the thing you read sits next to it.

On desktop

Type / and choose PDF, or drag a PDF file straight into the editor. The PDF renders inside the note with a page preview, so you can check the source without leaving your notes.

On mobile

Open the attachments group on the toolbar above the keyboard and choose PDF, then pick the file. On the phone a PDF shows as a compact card with its page count and size.

A working pattern

Drop the paper or contract into the note, then write your summary above it with page references. Later, search finds your summary, and the source is one scroll away for checking.

Where PDFs live

Attachments belong to the note, in your local library. With sync on, they follow the note to your other devices.
