See what's new after an update

The list of changes Grape shows once, on the first launch of a new version, on desktop and mobile.

The first time Grape opens on a new version, it lists what changed in that version. It shows the list once, and the next time you see one is after the next update.

On desktop

The list comes up in the card in the bottom left of the window, the corner the update notice uses, a moment after your notes load. It covers nothing and asks for nothing, so you can keep writing with it there.

  • Got it puts it away.
  • See all changes opens the full changelog in your browser.

If Grape finds an even newer version while the list is up, the update notice takes the corner first, and the list comes back once you have answered it.

Step by stepOn desktop
1The first launch on a new version lists what changed in the bottom left.
2Choose Got it to put it away, or See all changes for the whole changelog.
3The corner stays clear until the next update.

On mobile

A sheet comes up over your library on the first open after the App Store or Google Play updates the app. Tap Got it or swipe it down to close it, or tap See all changes to read the whole changelog.

Step by stepOn mobile
1The first open after an update lists what changed.
2Tap Got it to close it.
3Your library is back, and the list waits for the next update.

When it does not show

  • A fresh install skips it: there is nothing to catch up on, and the welcome tour has the screen.
  • The changes come from grape.cool. If the computer or phone is offline on that first launch, they show on the next launch instead.
  • An app left without updates for a while lists every version it missed, newest first, up to the last three.

The whole history

Every version of both apps, with what each one changed, is on the changelog. The changes are written in English there and in the app, whatever language Grape is set to.

Try It While the Guide Is Open

Grape is free to install and needs no account, so you can follow along in the real app.
