Library search finds the right note. Find in note finds the right line inside it, which matters once notes get long.
On desktop
Press Cmd F on Mac or Ctrl F on Windows and Linux while a note is open. Type, and Grape shows the match count and highlights results. Enter or Cmd G jumps to the next match, Shift Enter or Shift Cmd G goes back, and Escape closes the bar. It is also in the note menu as Find in Note.
On mobile
Open the note menu and choose Find in Note. The bar at the bottom of the screen takes your search, shows the match counter, and the arrows step through results.
When to use which search
Use library search when you do not know which note it is in. Use find in note when you are already in the right note and need the exact spot. In a two hundred line meeting note, the second one is the difference between reading and finding.
