A link between two notes is a thought you do not have to rebuild later: this decision came from that meeting, this essay draws on that reading.
Creating a link
On desktop, type / and choose Internal Link, then search for the note. You can also type the link directly as [[ followed by the note title. On mobile, tap the internal link button on the toolbar above the keyboard and pick the note from the search sheet.
Following links
Click or tap a link to open the target note. Grape selects the right folder on the way, so you always land in context.
Linking to a note that does not exist yet
Write the link anyway. Clicking a link whose note does not exist creates that note and opens it, which makes links a fast way to sketch structure before the content exists. If the note gets created some other way later, Grape reconnects the waiting links on its own.
Seeing the other direction
Open Note Info on any note and check the Backlinks tab to see every note that links here, and the Links tab for every note this one points to. For the whole library at once, open graph view.
